the double teeter totter
heading on a trek to a trail you've dreamed about....
the double teeter totter
some skinny stuff at rays.
trail in ocala national forest, built but the florida freewheelers. 22 mile fast scenic loop.
Thanks to my inlaws for moving to St. George. This trailhead is a five minute drive from their home. And no, this pic does not suggest trail access issues. The fence has been hanging around there forever and was a nice spot to relax and take in the views.
Buff singletrack leading to the South Rim slickrock. The trail skirts the edge of the mesa, 1000 feet above the valley floor. Although the slickrock doesn't have the elevation gain of Moab, it is technical and a blast nonetheless.
For those that have been here, remember the views from the mesa? For those that haven't, check out Southwestern Utah. Some great vids of this and other areas are at petefagerlin.com.
The "blue mountain singletrack" is a tour from western spirit. We climbed from 5K 5to 11K and then we geared up for going down. Talk about narrow singletrack; about 12 in wide and a 1/2 hour decent. thousands of acres of aspens. sweet
This was our first "end of the day" meal with western spirit cycling. They set everything up. We at 8K elevation only being 90 min from moab but with lush green vegetation. at the top of the climb we had snow mounds and on the way down ran into a guy on a 4ft wide dozer makin' trails.
top of the porcupine. Thought it was cool to just see the bikes taking a break
if you've ever been to MOAB, the road that climbs up to slickrock is crazy steep. We climbed up it and we took a pic from the other guys below. See if you can see them
