TRAIL SYSTEM REPORTS
Nockamixon (John Roth) trail closure is working as expected. Rock armoring is going well. Kenny projects it will be at least 2-3 weeks until trail is reopened. The remaining portion will be addressed with both rock and boardwalk solutions.
Working on getting approval for balance of loops so there are no "out and back" trails.
Working on getting kiosks built and installed. This needs to be done to their specs.
Trexler (Scott Stortz, Greg Horwath)
Half pipe three is in the process of being massaged. Shale Face two is flagged out and will be worked on this weekend (Sunday, May 29).
In terms of what the club wanted prepared for the Open House — we're on target — even better if we can complete Shale Face this weekend.
Salisbury (Doug Pinkerton, Joe Gallagher)
Next trail day is scheduled for Saturday, July 9. We'll continue with the rock armoring process at the top of the Spanky directly prior to the road crossing.
Emmaus (Mark Bowman)
Finishing the end of the technically not-yet-opened Bug Trail. Considering re-routing the orange trail going in — on the right – after you cross the board walk.
Tree removal has been an issue there. We discussed the idea of creating a sign that could be used at Emmaus and Salisbury that says unauthorized trail work of any kind is prohibited.
We talked about the idea of a sticky at the top of each trail forums that says the same.
Jacobsburg
Mike Prentice has contacted the land manager about getting together to discuss the possibility of addressing trail maintenance issues there. The last know work by cyclists at the park dates back two park managers ago.
