Like all good rides, serious ribbing on today's recovery ride with Joey and Bud. No one told Bud it was recovery, though -- it was Half Wheel Hell all day into the wind. Bud has decided to step up his game and rebounded by crushing one guy who's been sick for a week and another who is on an off week after a month straight of training. Nice Bud. Rolling through Virginville, we stop in at my brother's house and he shows us their art studio and up inside there is a 14 foot tall statue of their neighbor Jim. They are making if for a gag for the guy's birthday, and it is a dead-on life like impression of the guy! Strangely enough, he is bald and looks EXACTLY like Bud, save for the can of beer in his hand. What does Joey do -- he looks at my brother and says "Can you change that to a can of Monster?" and then preceeds to order one up on the spot! So, this summer, Joey is going to have a 14' tall Bud in his backyard, and perhaps a Robbie and John Dude as well. No joke here. I think Joey was bonking, especially when he wanted a 14' tall Bernie with a kickstand...
