at Sals today. It was kind of an interesting day there today. The weather was pretty cold and windy. I was out there for 5-6 hours today. It even snowed pretty good for awhile . We finished up the sticker hell bypass, which came out really cool.Gallagher was kind of visionary and found some great lines through these whoops. You could even say we have a pump track (light version) for 50 feet. Anyhow those guys split and john and I figured out how to program the GPS(decimal coordinates) and headed over to Western Sals to try and find the property boundaries.
The method of placing the parcel map over the computer screen and sizing Google Earth til it jived and lifting off the coordinates from G.E. worked pretty good. We found one pin with an 85 foot error, and the other pin with a 15 foot error. Unfortunately we could not find the 3rd pin. There is 1 more pin to find after that.
The end result looks OK, but not overly fantabulous. The one property corner is pretty tight where we cut in over the quarry. This doesn't leave a whole lot of options for a loop in this area. i'm sure we can make something work though.
The 3rd and 4th pins are out towards the Allentown side. We can try to find them, and then mark the boundaries and rough flag a trail. This has to be done in the next few weeks as it will soon be a green hell and you won't be able to tell where you are or something.
