The historic Borough of Catasauqua will be hosting it's 3rd annual "Tour de Pool" bike race on Saturday, July 3rd @ 12:00 noon. This fast, fun and challenging - not to mention unique - event is a Mountain Bike only, ten lap criterium race through the St. John Street park grounds, adjacent streets and around the edge of the Catasauqua Public swimming pool. The swimmers will have the best seats, cooling off and enjoying the race just inches away!
For the safety of the riders, the road portion of the course will be closed to traffic and the event is open to riders of all ages. Riders under 15 must enter with a parent to supervise. The race will last for approximately 30-40 minutes.
This year’s race promises to be even more fun then last year, as Catasauqua/North Catasauqua’s July 4th celebration will run in conjunction with the race for a fun filled day of live bands (including Don Cunningham & His Cabinet), activities, food, beverage and a gigantic fireworks display.

Sign-ups the day of the race will take place at the small gazebo on the Church Street end of the park from 10:00 am until 11:45 am. The entry fee to race is $15 if you pre-register and $20 the day of the event, and there is no charge for the spectators who are most welcome to watch the action and to cheer on their favorite rider!
Cash prizes of $50 for first place, $40 for second place, $30 for third place and $20 for fourth place will be awarded courtesy of Biery's Port Bodyworks of Catasauqua and merchandise prizes will be awarded for fifth through tenth place finishers, courtesy of Allentown Bike Line.
