I was thinking of heading up to NY this day and just wanted to invite anyone that wants to come along. I think sometime in September would be a good time for a weekend VMB destination trip but in case you have a vacation day to burn, this is a good way to do it.
I'll adjust the ride for the group - pace/terrain/distance so no worries.
As a preview, the geography on the other side of the Hudson river is radically different than in NJ or PA. There aren't any of those nasty baby heads like Ringwood and don't expect the flatlands of Long Island. I can promise a day of classic North East single track with tonnes of rock rollers and swooping turns - climbs too.
