New to Forum. Comments on TNP first time ride

First time on this forum. Just registered today.

First, kudos to all that are helping with the trails at TNP.  Was very impressed with the overall quality of trails and the maps provided.

My buddies and I are average mountain bikers and have enjoyed many trails around the valley. Some of our favorites are Jacobsburg, Jordan Creek and in Berks-Blue Marsh.  Not knowing where to go at TNP, we decided to take the Border Trail starting at Station 12 and following the top of the mountain until we reached a large decline down to Mill Creek Rd.  We were greeted by steep hills that we could barely ride down and didn't even attempt to ride up. It was like this all along Mill Creek Rd.  Although it was pleasant scenery, it was far from the ride we were looking for until we reached station 7. Taking the white trail (Fireman's) at station 8 up to station 2 turned out to be the highlight of the ride.

I'm wondering if someone can point out a 5-10mile clip that would provide more of what we experience on the white trail? Is there a different portion of the Border trail that is less hilly?  I notice the Olive Garden trail starts right at station 12 but it looked to narrow and overgrown to bike. Is that any good?

Thanks for your help.
