John Grabowski knows how to host a ride. Every Thursday you can get in a killer ride on some awesome singletrack with amazing views and flowy, techy lines. Rocky, with good trials-type features. Great people to ride with, too, with rides for all abilities every night. Climb up from the clubhouse, ride all over the top of the mountain, rip a great singletrack descent into the sunset off the mountain and back to the clubhouse, clean up in the outdoor shower under the stars and gear up for one of John's famous Hubbard meals!
Tonight John had venison stew with sheepshead mushrooms found right on the mountain, peirogies and cabbage and macaroni, plus lasagna and the homemade crabcakes he is cooking in that vintage CCC camp frypan in the background. Always a good beer and wine selection, plus dessert! It is incredible. And luckily it is only 1.5 hours away from Bethlehem.
I hope some of you can make the treck north to check out Hubbard this summer. It is such a great scene all around.
