I thought it would be cool for peeps to share some of their own special moments of 2009, or some moments they would rather forget. Hopefully they will include some details of why it was so special.
My personal highlights include:
Cruising down the Rattling Creek Trail following Jaime and in front of Don. It was one of those moments when it all seemed to come together. Energy was high, focus was crisp, speed was perfect, almost seemed like I was hovering just above the trail. I had so much fun on that one strip of trail that I can say that it made my year.
In relation to the first highlight the whole RCST weekend was and is always a highlight beyond the riding.
For another obvious highlight it was the day my Ortho Doc said that I can get back out on the trails after my knee surgery.
One that I have already talked about was the day the training wheels came off of Josslin's bike. In fact that continues to be a highlight.
Can't forget the Rolly Poly at Alamuchy. Love that thing.
Now it is the first ski run of the season that I look forward to as the next highlight. It'll be my first run in 2 years and I am a little nervous, hoping that my knee is ready. I treated myself to new skis and new boots. The anticipation of the local hills opening for the season is like being a kid on Christmas Eve, knowing that in the morning Santa's visit will change my life for another year.
Can't wait to see what 2010 will include, hopefully Allegripis and Trex will be highlights.
