i got word this morning that there was some leaf blowing at lehigh. this is weak and doesnt help in any way but maybe to the pussification of mountain bikers. but seriously, i remember when bernie did this years back and it was a disaster. what will happen is the nights freeze and the days thaw(especially in the south side) and forms a slick much worse than leaves. and maybe even skidding and rutting out the trail . yes it may help you see the line now but ruins them come nov, dec, and early jan when temps warm up during the day. if you are having trouble with the leaves try a lower gear to get you a faster cadence which will help with balance. or get big boy wheels.
