Take A Kid Mountain Biking Day was such a positive and powerful experience yesterday. Everyone had a blast! I don't have a head count, but my quick guesstimation would be that we had at least 50 people (parents and kids) in attendance. At the end of the day the overwhelming response I heard was "I wish we could do this more often". Although we can't do all the events of TAKMBD all the time, you can Take A Kid Mountain Biking ANYTIME.
I want to encourage all of you with kids to post your rides with your kids on the VMB site whenever you can. Even if it is somewhat of a "last minute" post. Make sure you clearly write in title "Kid-Friendly ride" or "Kid Ride".
"Taking the kids out for a ride" is a GREAT excuse to get you outa the house and on your bike, give your spouse some free time/space, possibly meet new folks or get together with old ones and wear the kids out! What more could you ask for?!?!?
