I got bit by a tick this weekend and came across a great fund that will help you in Monroe County and in the Lehigh County ares.In Monroe County it's called the Monroe County vector control. 38 north 7th st. Stroudsburg, Pa 570-420-3525 They can help you in a case where you have a matured tick on you for more than or less than the 36 hour period .They have a lot of info for you and can help you prevent ticks all together.
The greater help here in Monroe County and in the Lehigh area is that Geisinger Hospital has a few clinics set up that can sell you an antidote to help prevent the Lyme disease. If you have health insurance like many of us , you may have the prescription for free, but if you don't the visit and the prescription is around 75.00 total.

I spoke to the Kenny Dotson there who looked at me and gave me my antidote, explained to him my situation , being in the woods all the time. I purchased 10 extra tablets to keep in my camelbak for others that might get a tick bite while we're riding or working on trails . The cost of it was nothing compared to how bad this disease can be. Look into it.
