Hi, allow me to introduce myself. I'm originally from the SE Michigan area (Ann Arbor), and will be graduating from Purdue University in May. I'll be moving to Allentown in July to start my career with Air Products. I grew up riding BMX and soon moved on to mountain bikes. I did a lot of racing in the MWCCC with other midwest colleges, some DS but mostly XC. My only taste of PA mountain biking is 2005 Collegiate Mountain Bike Nationals at Seven Springs.
My question is how are the trails around the Lehigh Valley area? I assume the area must be nice being near the Appalachian's and having found this forum for the local area. Are the trails generally rolling or is there a lot of climbing? Fast and smooth, or rocky (i.e. do they treat hardtails well like the Midwest, or should I start considering a softtail)?
