The club has recently been receiving a fair amount of requests or promos. I honestly am unfamiliar with this event, but it seemed worth sharing:
It is called Girls with Gears but men are welcome and offer from beginner to advance level rides up to a metric century. (10.25.40 and 62 mile rides with ride leaders for the first three available for beginner riders) The event is on April 19th, 2009 (with the Trek mountain bike demo being held at Spring mountain the day before on the 18th) and is being held in Limerick Community Park in Limerick PA, 25 minutes from Reading and 35 minutes from Philadelphia. Lunch is free and is provided by Outback Steakhouse and all proceeds benefit CarolForHeart a non-profit organization that fights heart disease through education.
Are you a team or do you have friends that like to ride together? Look for the paper registration form on our website and mail it in to receive a
big discount on the registration fees plus a chance to receive a great GWG jersey for 2009! Teams need to have 10 or more participants to qualify.
