My team of the Cancer Society is always looking for a fund raiser that not every fundraising group already does. After visiting this site for the past 2 years, I had an idea but wished to get some feedback on what other fellow bikers would think. What about a mountain bike poker ride? We could pay a certain amount to enter the ride, then along the trail draw cards to see who gets the best poker hand by the end of the ride. Prizes awarded to the best few hands. Prizes would depend on # of riders or sponsoring bike shops. This is just an idea to see if an event like this would work. Let me know what you think. Any thoughts of Where and When would be great also. Spring or Fall? Our Cancer event is in May so a spring ride might not work this year. I am looking forward to your ideas and comments.
