The enthusiasm, participation and membership have all grown beyond expectation. Thank you for your support and congratulations on making a lot of great things happen in our mountain biking community.
Along with growth, comes the need for a little more structure to help keep the peace. With that in mind we plan to add a Terms of Use to this site which registered users will be required to accept to participate in this site. We feel everyone will be better served with these simple guidelines of use.
These guidelines are meant only to protect against the more inflammatory type of posts that can occur occasionally online and should not be viewed as a clampdown on fun.
Along with the terms we’ve developed the following plan of action to handle posts that might be considered violating the terms:
- Remove the post (does not delete it)
- Send a message to the poster that the board is reviewing the post
- Delete or republish the original post based on the board decision
- Give notice to the poster of the action taken
Again, we do not see this as something we’ll be using very often, but it will be there if we need it. We hope everyone can understand the need for these guidelines and look forward to the trails ahead.
