We were able to obtain more land for us to build trails on up at Trexler! This is the part I always thought would be killer for mtb trails. Its the high slope over the creek, which is across Game Preserve road from the zoo.
The terrain has a steep side slope but it is covered with deciduous forest , not autumn olive . There is a strip of this forest towards the top of the slope.Lower down the slope towards the creek its all autumn olive. I've checked this out a few times and it will be really cool to build trails there.Great views as well.This is really some of the nicest stuff in the whole park .
The yellow line in the picture represents where a trail could run through this area. I don't have the exact boundaries yet but we will map them with the GPS.This trail would form a loop with what we've started cutting in already.
