I watched some hunter guys unload there gear(crossbows) from their pickup on Dodson while I was getting ready to ride yesterday. Anyhow, they didn't leave their permit obtained from Salisbury on the dash of their truck, which they are required to do. This isn't a big deal, but I'm just mentioning it because I almost ran into a hunter on the trail.
I was on the trail I call the Slalom , which is the upper red between the Yellow and the upper orange. So I'm going quickly around one of the turns, and there is a hunter dude with an arrow in his bow walking up the trail with the bow and arrow pointed up the trail. I only missed him by a few feet. I think this guy was getting ready to shoot the "deer" he heard coming at him down the trail. There were lots of leaves down making noise as I rode over them.He didn't have the arrow drawn, but it was pointed in my direction.
So just be careful, the deer hunters are hunting along the bike trails, not just from stands. There are lots of them over by Dodson, but no SGC patrols there for some reason.
