well, it's in the books. We're heading to rays wether we like it or not. Ray has been gracious enought to knock a few bucks off for all riders from PA. in his words "i'd love to have you guys, and i need more lumber for next year!!!!"
I'm working on having a lunch there for all the riders to hang out and get to know eachother.
Logistics: we've done it both ways; 1 day, 2 days. it really doesn't matter, whatever you and your buddies want to do. Last year we did the drive out, ride, and drive home. it wasn't that bad. Your spent either way. The nice part about the two day option is you can relax that night and hit the stuff the next day and nail the things you couldn't make on saturday.
-We'd like to head out together so we will meet at the Target parking lot off Cedar Crest and 22 saturday morning and will leave at 5:30am sharp. probably stop in between then ride till we can't ride anymore. then whoever is leaving(park closes around 10pm)can hit the road and whoever is staying will head to the hotel and head out for nightly festivities or realistically hit the sack!!!!
-Cost: 15.00 for the day for PA residents(i'm waiting to hear back about the weekend rate discount)
-Type of bike: it used to be big hit bikes, but it's mostly dirt jump type bikes, but XC will do fine as well.
-dress: you need shin guards to get in and they rent them there. shorts and shirt does the trick, trust me you'll be sweating hard.
For some reason we dont' get a lot of interest and i know the driving is far, but trust me when i say it's worth it.
