Hey All
For those with a road bike, here's a chance to try something different. The Pennsylvania Perimeter Ride Against Cancer is a 500-600 mile, 6 day benefit ride for the American Cancer Society and Dream Come True. The next ride is coming up in August 2009 and registration is open now. This year's route will take us from Burlington, VT to Palmerton, PA.
I was originally attracted to this ride through a few friends who completed one over ten years ago. 97% of funds raised go to our cause--not very common. Logistics are tackled by a few committee members(I am one of them). This year's ride will be my fifth. It's truly one of the most rewarding and fun events I've ever been involved with. If you have any questions, please let me know.
Registration is limited to 80 riders. $1000 is the minimum goal for individual fund-raising. Check the web site WWW.PPRAC.NET
There is a ton of info in the site; pictures, testimonials, forms, etc.
A couple of VMB members do the ride and it would be great increase the VMB contingent!
Thanks
Eric
