was gonna ride but the rain changed my mind and headed over to Sals for a hike.I looked at a little trail add-on that would replace the very last section of the nursery trail after the boulders. The more I looked at it, I just couldn't get it together in my head.Plus, when I was there Mike ripped passed on the existing line and it looked like a legitimate thing. Rather than just replacing this little section that crosses the powerline, I came up with the idea of adding a whole new trail!
This one would make a left just before the powerline when you're on the nursery trail and head towards consti above that doubletrack trail that goes out to the road. Then it would go into the gulley where the little creek and cross it. Then it would eventually cross the powerline and be down around all those rocks below the yellow bridge area. The trail would "fart around" in this area a little and then cross the creek and climb a bit and head over to the upper red just below the powerline.I had been thinking of a trail in this area too and couldn't get that one together either.It would be an option on the way everyone rides-aside loop off the upper red basically. It would remain separate from the lower red
So then it was over to SMB and the park by the TV station. I hiked along the rim and then cut back into the woods where you would cross the road (to get to the witch/superman/goat stuff). All I can say is that there is some incredible stuff up above the rim trail!
BTW, it looked totally dry over on the SMB trails, and Sals looked like a steamy rainforest!
