2nd Annual Rally in the Valley, April 19th in Wisahickon Park

The Philadelphia Mountain Bikers Association is holding the Second Annual Rally In The Valley April 19th, 2008 on the trails in Wisahickon Park (you might have seen the article in Bikemag.com on the Wiss). It isn't a race, but a true mountain bike festival. The RIV is a ride to get more people into the sport of mountain biking. Multiple rides in one day actually, some scheduled, some not.

The routes that will be set up are for Beginners, Intermediate, Expert (up to 20 miles) and a Kid's Course. There is a hidden jump area in the park that includes beginner through pro level jumps. 20 bucks get you entered for the day's events, plus an included lunch, and raffle tickets. And the raffles are big items too. There will also be a vendors row including manufacturers (ed note: and EWR Bikes), shops and much more cycling-related product. All proceeds go directly to the PMBA and trail maintenance. You gotta love that.
