Just wanted to introduce myself and hopeful connect for a few rides and find out about the local goods
I just took a new job in Tamaqua and will be moving into Upper Macgungie pretty soon. I'm an expert level rider (mostly trail riding and all mountain, no DH or X-stuntry)rolling on an ironhorse Hollowpoint with the usual goodies bolted on.
does anyone have a suggestion/advise on best places to ride, good local shops etc, it would be really appreciated. Are group rides posted and is it ok to 'crash' one? Or anyone up for giving the new a guy an after work tour of one of the local parks? I'd be happy to return the favor with a guided roadtrip up to NY - Only 2 hrs from Allentown.
My "old" cruising grounds were Blue Mtn Park in Westchester County NY and I know the area parks welll. I built most of the trails (check out the review in Bike Mag - voted best in NY state.
Don't know if you guys need a trail builders but I'de love to feed the trail building addiction and help out where I can.
