More Trailbuilding Fun at Sals! New Month, Same Trail !! DATE CHANGED TO SATURDAY 4/5

Date:
Saturday, April 5, 2008 - 11:00am to 2:00pm

Howdy. This trailbuilding event has been changed to Saturday April 5th at 11am. This will work out much better cause Sunday looks like the day to ride.

The happy trailbuilding crew will be at it again on the big rock turn on the blue bypass extension trail.

Enjoy the camaraderie of like minded individuals working together towards a common goal of adding to the Sals trail system. This, plus fresh air and endorphins will help mask the pain from all of the straining while lifting rocks, digging up clay, hauling buckets, etc Smile .

At the blue trail area we'll do some clay digging, filling and benchcutting. The soil donor sites are now very close to the trail(i.e. borrow holes)! You can help in the sculpting of our insloped turn if you like. If you don't want to get a hernia or lower back spasm there is the option, depending on turnout, to do much lighter work on the yellow trail below Dodson park. This involves raking and brush stuff.

Tools required are pick mattocks, shovels and rakes. Since I found 2 of our picks today over at SME the tool supply is looking much better!

Hope to see you there! Meet on Constitution at the top.

PS. When we're finished trailbuilding John will be giving a free 90+ minute talk entitled "Choosing the Right Sized Come-Along for the Job".
