So I learned skiing this winter, been a few times at Blue and BC and can do the blue's reasonably confidently (so long as its not too icey). I decided it would be good to pick up some end of the year clearance skis, in preparation for next year. I went to Nestor's and found a pair of Blizzard Firebird XO3 159's (I am 150 lb, 6 ft) for $180, with some basic bindings thrown in to end up at $254 after tax. Sounds like a good deal for some skis to take me from beginner to intermediate over the next few years? Most of the other ski's would have me spending double, which may not be wise since I may want to upgrade in the next few years depending on how fast I progress. Sometime between now and fall I hope to find good boots on discount (28.5 is my size).
