Get 'yer Trailbuilding On at South Mountain Emmaus. Sunday Feb 3rd, 11am-3pm

Date:
Sunday, February 3, 2008 - 11:00am

Sunday will be a brand new month for the trailbuilding efforts on the SME cistern trail. We have made awesome progress on this trail so far with great benchcutting and spectacular rock work. Come out Sunday for more of the same. Temps should be more mild which should allow for easier dirt work. We'll do some benchcutting, clay transport and filling, and more rock mostly on the upper sections of the trail.

This is the time of year when most of the trailbuilding gets done. This new trail is an important bypass of poorly designed trail that originates from back from before the car era. Hopefully, this will be the first of many trail revisions at this great location!

Meet up at the Alpine St trailhead. If you are late just head in a go slightly to the left. We'll be up on the hillside by the BIG rocks. Some tools provided, but we can use picks, mattocks, spade shovels and rock bars. Hope to see you there!
