better than the first

today i got 80+ tropical miles in. and thanks to this internet thing i also see you guys must be getting a little chilly in the lv. or at least in two more days. so again this ride consisted of awesome scenery after the death defying 10 miles out of tourist land. rather than bore you with trying to explain my ride i'll share some highlights of the day.
1. seeing natives haul 150lb propane tanks on their mopeds only being secured by two bungees. these are the same size tanks that in the u.s. require a hazmat lisence and a special truck. not here, just two bungees
2. seeing a guy gutting two pigs in the middle of the street
3. spotting three piglets along the shoulder. too cute. almost made up for the two dead ones
4. getting whistled at by some of the hot native ladys
5. having all the school kids run up to give me high fives
6. actually beating a motorcycle up a climb and down the other side
7. being the only cracker for 70 of those miles
8. getting the thumbs up by more than half of the people passing
9. seeing a young kig on a horse in full gallop holding a mashette?
10. out sprinting all the dogs who challenged me. FYI--if you ever ride in aruba, st. martin, domin. rep, cancun, or the acres in allentown always have a bottle of h2o just for squirting in the faces of attacking dogs. works good.
