So i had alittle accident at Lehigh on the Snake Wednesday night. Trying to ride it on my hardtail like i do on the DH bike, bad idea. Over the bars onto my face. Caught a rock directly to the eye socket. I went to the ER and got some stitches and a CAT scan. CAT scan showed I have a facial fracture. Basically my nasal cavity and sinus cavity now don't have a barrier between them and they told me i'm not allowed to blow my nose. The good news is my vision is fine and i dont have a head injury and i get out of work for a couple days! I have a nasty black eye and it's swollen but it doesn't hurt too much. They gave me vicodin anyway though. I have an appointment with a plastic surgeon on tuesday after the swelling goes down to see what happens next. Some friends were nice enough to come to the ER with me and take pictures. How do i post those here? It doesnt hurt really, It's just annoying bc it's my face and i went the whole DH race season injury-free and then this happens. First bone i've ever broken in my body and it's my freaking face.
