Props to some roadies

It's monday afternoon and my regular riding friend John T. calls and says we are going to do a tuesday night ride with some roadie guys he knows. They want to get back on some dirt and check out the trails at Sals.

I also met cham666(aka Jason) at the ride to show him around since he is also new to the area. He lives in Rich B.'s neck of the Stroudsburg area, but works across the street from LVI. This guy rides well and does it all. He has a trials bike, a FR/DH bike and he dirt jumps too. He has me jazzed up to try the Diabloween weekend out at Mountain Creek's Diablo Freeride Park

So the group was six riders strong with three newbies to Sals. I gotta hand it to those roadies, they hung in there for the whole 8.9 mile ride. One guy, Adam, was having such problems with his pedals that he was virtually unable to remain clipped in if he lost just the smallest amount of momentum over an obstacle. I followed him for about 2 miles and witnessed him do quite a few of those "almost over the bars but not quite over the bars" kind of crashes. He was using those "Frog" pedals and they just didn't seem to agree with what Adam was trying to do on his hardtail. Did he complain - No, did he stop to rest - Not unless us fat guys did, did he bail early due to frustration - No way. It was ugly at times yet beautiful also to see the perserverance and dedication.

So Big Props to you roadie guys, Thanks

Oh, almost forgot to mention, thanks to the guys who built that huge berm on the lower red. That thing is awsome!!!!!
