We're back, with an even better chainsaw certification course. Taught by respected trail builder and certified saw instructor John Motz, at Trexler Environmental Center, the two-day course will cover all areas of saw safety—from creating a safe work environment to hands-on skills.
Our insurance and land managers require that any members using a chainsaw be certified, so this is an important course for anyone who wishes to help clear down trees from our trails. We only have 12 spots available and we'll need to give priority to individuals who have committed to helping at our trail systems. You must sign up below and receive confirmation to attend.

More Info: This program is designed to provide participants with the basic skills needed to operate a chainsaw safely. It incorporates many of the same basic safety elements and chainsaw skills used by professional loggers, forest-fire fighters and other skilled chainsaw operators. It is tailored to trail maintainers.
