As we enter this last weekend before Christmas, I wanted to recognize and appreciate all that we have going into 2013.
A great membership dedicated to our sport including many who have already PM'ed me with best wishes and to make suggestions. I'm listening so keep those ideas coming. Thanks to all who have had to cope with my long, detailed responses. 
A great group of officers to work with - Jason's doing a great job with Treasury including club property inventory, Don's a perfectionist with our minutes and correspondence, and I'm looking forward to working with Lou who had a huge amount of experience to share as i have already discovered in numerous conversations with him. Thanks to these guys for also putting up with far more and even longer responses :rant: by me.
The work that Scott has done as President the last wo years. Scott successfully guided our club through this controversial period with continued growth in membership and trail mileage. Thank you, Scott. :thumbsup:
A great Board - thank you for your service this past year. We'll need an equally-informed Board in 2013 so all members please consider recommending yourself or another for consideration by the officers for appointment.
Three awesome trail systems and those dedicated members at each who got them reopened so fast after Hurricane Irene, last year's Halloween snowstorm, and of course Sandy that both supportive landmanagers and non-VMB trail users were genuinely impressed. Hey, I know what that kind of work entails -you guys rock.
Thanks to our non-mountain biking spouses and families for being understanding about the importance of the Wednesday ride, the need for trailbuilding, or the urgency of buying a new bike, etc. My wife's a champ (and a very patient mother of two) at putting up with this. 
Our local shops and their owners that back this club's efforts and our sport so well. Please support them in return - they're key players in our community.
Oh and great :beer: . In a world filled with bad news where people say they miss the old days - here's something that's gotten much better in the last few years.
We have a promising year ahead in terms of our trails and the planned social events that will showcase both them and our club in general. Thank you for your support and trust.
