Thanks again for the input.
We didn't get to do everything, but we did plenty this time around.
I'll post some pics when I have time, but here is what we did:
Day 1
- picked up bikes at Saucon Valley Bikes- props to the shop they were great!
- road a local system near Sals
+woke me up, and let me know I wasn't in California anymore--way more rocks than I'm used to.
+first time on 29 and squishy...loved it quickly
+learned about the liquor and beer laws, and byob...wtf?!
 Day 2
-Allegrippis East: 26.5 miles http://connect.garmin.com/activity/185410466
-West Allegrippis: 9.5 miles http://connect.garmin.com/activity/185410453 + http://connect.garmin.com/activity/185410448
+awesome fun for what it was
+needed another day to do it backwards
+lake was nice for post-ride swim, but thought I was in "Penntucky," no offense
:cornut: Day 3
-Weiser-Rattling Creek et al. 17 miles http://connect.garmin.com/activity/185410451
+Bet's favorite place. I liked it too. Great variety and some great rock gardens-- fun challenge, starting to really like the bike, and learning quickly how to deal with the chunck.
+the wind picked up, the humidity dropped, as did the temperature, and light, then the rain came on our last 4 miles...with lightning and thunder...we were soaked, but all smiles because it was a great way to end the day
Day 4
-Jim Thorpe: 22 miles http://connect.garmin.com/activity/185410437
+some good sections, but some of it was...mundane, if not lame, and two or three HABs really made it practically not worth it imo
+place has potential, and some great trail, but suppose the historic road/stuff is what it is...it does have potential to be so much more...just don't understand the tremendous waste of potential energy on HABs
Day 5
-Merli: 11 miles http://connect.garmin.com/activity/185410430
+ wow! freakin' wow!
+you lucky sobs
+thanks for telling me I really should do this
+genius layout in some sections
+missed twister and porcupine I think? but looks like we hit some brand new stuff
-Moosic: 13.6 miles http://connect.garmin.com/activity/185410418
+wow again, but Ouch
+missed a section, but hit most of it, and most of it hit me back, fun none-the-less
Day 6
-return bikes
-pick up desserts at Vegan Treats in Bethlehem, and some rum for fun
-bask in stoke
We loved the trees, moss, rocks, contour trails, the bikes, and wildlife. We can't wait to come back and hop around enjoying what PA has to offer again!
