For those members unaware, Jim D. has been very active in laying the groundwork for a multifaceted bike park to be called Rivers Edge on 4 acres of public land in the Poconos for which VMB will be offering its official support.
Monroe County, Middle Smithfield and Smithfield townships and Delaware Water Gap Borough have indicated their official support for this cool project which will include a pump track, skills area, trails, and other components that will significantly enhance the bike scene in the Poconos. This park will connect to that region's trail network.
Today's Pocono Record print newspaper devoted their entire front page to an article on this project as well as on their website which is great given the fact that this sort of project rarely gets media coverage at all let alone front-page status
