I am on the planning committee again for the Girls on the Run Spring 5K to be held at the Lehigh Parkway on Thursday, June 2nd. Info on the Lehigh County chapter of Girls on the Run can be found here: http://www.diakon.org/gotr
We are looking for running buddies to run along w/ the girls for the 5K (250 of them!), and also general volunteers to help with registration, act as course monitors/cheerleaders, assist at water stops, work the temporary tattoo station, etc...
We could also use some "in kind" donations of water, gift certificates to raffle off to running buddies (great advertising as there will be approximately 1500 people in attendance), and goody bag items for the girls.
If anyone has access to large "Gatorade" type coolers to dispense water we could borrow, that would ideal for the water stops.
