Rich thought I should post something so the members here who worked with Brian building trails at Salisbury knew.
My old pal Brian Hahl passed away today. He was just 50.
Brian was one of my very first riding buddies. Brian would always make me laugh my ass off -- always singing some stupid song as we headed into an impossible rock garden somewhere -- making it nearly impossible to actually ride. He convinced me to try my very first 24 hour race saying, "Dude, if I can do it -- you can do it."
Big Brian's Big Heart gave out on him while doing what he loved best.
Maybe while you're riding at Sals up the switchbacks or over some of the rocks on the Boulder trail that he helped move into place -- you can think of Brian and send him a good thought.
